If you are not into trees, it's almost impossible to find Japanese maple in early spring. Because they don't have leaves.

Then, I "trimmed" it. It seems like cuttings of Ume and maple don't need any chemical to protect their cuttings unlike Sakura. Also, their middle part will grow roots. I don't know why but that's what I read.
